Patrick Dempsey

Yes! After all the hoo hah about this movie, I finally watched it! At least with a girl :D Oh yeah, the show is very predictable and cliched, but I think everyone is there for Patrick Dempsey and not his Scottish rival. They even get to see Dempsey in mini skirtkilt. Phewwitt!!

I believe Dempsey's latest performance in Made of Honor coupled with his Derek Shepherd a.k.a. McDreamy in Grey's Anatomy is enough to cement his place as the sexiest man alive this year. Move aside Matt Damon, Justin Timberlake and Johnny Depp. And no, I'm not what you think I am!

I wonder how do you judge for the Sexiest Man Alive title anyway. Engage 5 million girls from all walks of life all around the world and ask them to vote? Or is it based on what roles they have played.

Let's talk about Dempsey as McDreamy, the neurosurgeon in Grey's Anatomy. His character is just like his name. Dreamy. A very good dream too! With all the smooching, one night stands, break-up sex. LOL. But seriously, if they choose the Sexiest Man Alive based on the roles they have played, I would choose him!

Dr. Gregory House. Everybody lies.

But then again, I guess the 5 million girls chosen to vote for the Sexiest Man Alive probably do not share the same liking as me for sarcasm and wit in Dr. Gregory House. If you compare them physically, both of them seem to have either unkempt hair or perennially out-of-bed look. Their eyes, McDreamy probably has dreamy eyes while House has intense eyes. Both of them don't seem to shave. The only thing different is House walks with a cane. And also probably many think McDreamy is the better looking one.

Personality wise, I think the role given to House is more complex than McDreamy. Both of them have relationship problems. Both of them are geniuses in a way. But somehow, I think House has a more intriguing personality in him that is just waiting to be discovered. Only occasionally he is allowed to show his sensitive side.

As for the medical information gained from them, both are, IMHO, lousy. LOL. But you learn more from House than McDreamy though.

Oh well, if there is a vote, probably Patrick Dempsey would win it. The 5 million girls out there, I don't think many would vote for Hugh Laurie as the Sexiest Man Alive. Probably as the better actor only. What say you, one of the 5 million girls out there?
